Jazz I Ensemble to Perform with Guest Artist Bryan Carter 4/14

The NC State Jazz I Ensemble will put on a special night of music with notable jazz percussionist Bryan Carter and the NC State Jazz Combo as guest artists on April 14th. As is their tradition, the ensemble will play a wide range of jazz, including pieces composed in the 1950s through today.

Bryan Carter is a professional touring and recording jazz percussionist at the very outset of his career. He graduated from The Julliard School in New York City, and has already played and recorded with many notable artists. He has conducted clinics, master- classes and workshops at schools, colleges and universities around the world.

Earlier in the day on the 14th, NC State will host a showcase of the NC All-State Jazz Ensembles. That show is free to the public and begins at 3:30 PM.

The NC State Jazz Ensemble I with guest artists Bryan Carter and the NC State Jazz Combo will perform at 7:00 PM in Stewart Theatre, Talley Student Union. Tickets are available at the box office or go.ncsu.edu/concerts.
