THE NC STATE DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC PRESENTS
Grains of Time
50TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
THIS CONCERT IS SOLD OUT. The Grains of Time will perform again on April 20, 2019. Tickets will be available to purchase in January and we recommend buying them in advance.
Grains of Time, North Carolina’s oldest all-male collegiate a cappella group founded in 1968, are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. To celebrate five decades of Grains, they’re putting together a special concert where the 2018-19 Grains will take the stage alongside alumni groups dating back all the way to the original founding members.
Over the decades, the group has undergone many changes, including broadening their repertoire from choral music and ‘oldies’ to pop, country, hip-hop and R&B, as well as becoming a student-led organization. What remains the same is perhaps what best defines them – a sense of unity and brotherhood that transcends time.
Join us on December 1 to celebrate 50 years of Grains.
