NC State Choirs Concert 4/8

The NC State Choirs will perform an evening of exciting choral music with Vox Accalia, Singing Statesmen, and the State Choral on April 8th, 2018 at 7:00 pm.

Vox Accalia will perform several new works, including music by an exciting young French-Canadian composer, Marie-Claire Saindon, settings of poetry by Sarah Teasdale, and Warrior, an empowering work written in response to victims of gender-based violence. Singing Statesmen will sing stirring renditions of Men’s 4-part music, including a great new setting of Bound For the Promised Land, a toe-tapping arrangement of Fascinating Rhythm, and other favorites from the men’s choral canon. State Chorale will perform music from around the globe, including works by American, European, Asian, and South Pacific composers. The concert will also feature the world-premiere of Dr. Leaf’s new composition, I Love You.

Tickets are available online at go.ncsu.edu/concerts, by phone at 919-515-1100 (1-6pm, M-F), online, or in person at Ticket Central in Thompson Hall. $10 public, $5 NC State students. Children 12 and under may attend for free, but tickets are required.
