Community Programs

Experience what it’s like to be a part of the Wolfpack and grow in your art form when you participate in our community outreach programs. Get involved in one of our community/student orchestras or join us for an open performance, lecture or workshop. Our Day of Dance, High School Band Day and summer music camps give high school students a glimpse into life in the Pack as they work with experienced artists and develop their skills.

Day of Dance

Day of Dance is an opportunity for area high school students to take a variety of dance classes taught by our faculty, attend a live dance company performance and engage with current dance students.

High School Band Day

Our high school band day gives musicians the chance to spend a full day with the Power Sound of the South, and even perform on the field at Carter-Finley Stadium during the halftime show. Experience what it’s like to march with the Pack.

Summer Music Camps

Our camps for middle and high school students include electronic music camps for both beginners and experienced composers, as well as our drum major leadership camp for high school marching band leaders.

NC State’s Civic Orchestras

The Raleigh Civic Symphony and Raleigh Civic Chamber Orchestra are our student/community hybrid orchestras. Community musicians are invited to audition to be a part of our orchestras alongside our talented student-musicians.
